Double Chocolate One Bowl Brownies
Double Chocolate One Bowl Brownies are a perfectly decadent treat that you won’t be able to resist! One bowl, five minutes, and a secret ingredient take these brownies over the top!
I’m talking chocolate today. Double Chocolate. Brownies, to be specific.
I’m not sure that I really need to tout the benefits of double chocolate one bowl brownies. Because if you don’t love a super rich, chocolate-y, gooey brownie that you can mix up in one bowl in about five minutes…well, you’ve come to the wrong food blog. 😉
Let’s be honest here, sometimes there are just those days when a gal needs a chocolate chip filled brownie, right? Or is that just me? ?
I’ll admit that I’ve used box mixes more often than I care to admit – and some of them are even pretty good. But this recipe takes nearly the same amount of time and effort and tastes worlds better. With a crusty, lightly flaky topping giving way to a simply ooey, gooey middle, this is quite simply the best brownie I’ve ever had.
If you’re partial to nuts, toss some in if you’d like. I think some chopped pecans would be fabulous in these – but since the rest of my family won’t eat a baked good if it contains a nut, I left them out. You should totally add in a teaspoon of cinnamon to take these double chocolate one-bowl brownies over the top!
- 4 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
- 12 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray a 9x13 pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
- Microwave chocolate and butter in a large bowl on high for two minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until chocolate is completely melted.
- Stir in the sugar until completed blended. Add in the eggs, vanilla and cinnamon and stir until completely combined. Mix in 1 cup flour and stir to combine. Fold in 1 cup chocolate chips if using.
- Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350 F for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
