1½ cups M&Ms (I used mini, but any flavor or size will do)
Method
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream together both sugars, the shortening , eggs, and vanilla. Add the flour, baking soda, salt and cornstarch to the butter mixture and blend well. Add in ¾ cup to 1 cup of the M&M's.
Chill dough for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Press a few more M&Ms onto the tops of the cookies, if desired.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
