These bars were the first item to disappear at my work luncheon–they were really moist and yummy. Totally easy, too. Took about 10 minutes to assemble, and that was with a 4-year old “helper” underfoot!
Wonderful words. These bars look delicious! I love cinnamon chips! I started buying them last year after I saw the original recipe on Our Best Bites, but I never got around to making the bars. I love your addition of blueberries. I definitely need to try these.

I’ve had a hard time finding cinnamon chips where I live–the only place I’ve spotted them is at a specialty cake decorating store (near my house, fortunately!). But now that I’ve tried them, I’m definitely hooked!
I haven’t tried this recipe, but I can just say how proud I am of a daughter who can write such meaningful words and give me such joy in life. Love, Dad
what a beautiful post. i love that you found some positives in that tragic day to share someday with your son. i hope your coworkers love the sweets!

A perfect treat for 9/11. I’m going to bookmark these for the 4th of July. I hope we never forget.
