5-Minute Breakfast Sandwiches

19

5-Minute Breakfast Sandwiches

We’re huge breakfast eaters at my house.

Actually, let me rephrase that: my husband and I love breakfast, while Doodle can make it to nearly midday before he starts searching for something to eat. Anyone else but me wake up with a rumbling stomach every morning?

Anyway, while we typically have a nice, sit-down breakfast on the weekends, the workweek doesn’t leave much time for breakfast prep. We’ve been enjoying one-minute breakfast burritos and flatbread breakfast pizzas over the last few weeks, but the Tall Boy’s very favorite on-the-go breakfast is an egg and cheese muffin.

I, myself, sort of cringe at the thought of a fast-food egg and cheese muffin – I can only imagine how many calories, fat, and overall unhealthy ingredients they contain.  But with the new Breakfast Sandwich Maker from Hamilton Beach I can make ’em at home – and control the ingredients we put inside.

An all egg-white sandwich?  Done.

Turkey bacon/sausage?  Yep.

Reduced-fat cheese?  Got it covered.

I  got a chance to see the sandwich maker in June, when I was in Austin for BlogHer.  Hamilton Beach had a booth in the vendor area, and I miiiiiiiiiight have eaten more than my fair share of the quick and easy breakfast sandwiches they were handing out.  Fortunately for me, I won one of the makers, and we’ve been using it nearly every morning since June.

It’s super simple to make a hot and hearty breakfast sandwich at home – and it’s ready to eat in 5 minutes or less!

The cooking plate cooks a fresh egg perfectly, then slides out to assemble your sandwich.  Get creative!  You can use English muffins, biscuits, small bagels, small (precooked) pancakes, and more!

My husband is in breakfast sandwich heaven.  Even better, Doodle loves the sandwiches too, and some mornings I can even get him to scarf one down before heading out the door to school.

Need a quick after school snack?  What about a 5-minute mini pizza?

Just layer on a bit of pizza sauce, and sprinkle with your favorite toppings!  The possibilities are endless!

While I did receive a sandwich maker to review, I was not compensated for this post. All opinions are 100% mine.
