Autumn Russian
So, wanna hear about that time I was on my honeymoon and drank my weight in White Russians?
Actually, that’s not quite true. We actually ate our weight in cheese fries and fresh mangoes (life’s all about balance, right?), while lying nearly comatose with our toes dipped in the Caribbean Sea and the Jamaican sun kissing our cheeks.
Because we vacationed at one of those all-inclusive resorts, we were determined to “get our money’s worth” by not skimping on the fun and festive umbrella drinks, if you know what I mean. But here’s the thing about rum in Jamaica – it’s apparently poured and served like water, because every rum-based drink we ordered was pretty much 99 percent rum and 1 percent something else.
After a few days of making various requests (“light on the rum, please;” “a splash of rum, thanks;” and “seriously, just wave the rum bottle over the glass and pretend to pour”), we finally smartened up and started ordering drinks that weren’t rum-based. My drink of choice: White Russians.
Because White Russians hold a special place in my heart and because we married in the fall, I knew exactly what I wanted to make when I spotted Kahlúa’s Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice: these Autumn Russians.
It’s almost like pumpkin pie in a glass, and who’s not down with that? 😉
- 1 part pumpkin spice Kahlúa
- 2 parts vodka
- 1 part heavy cream
- sprinkles for rimming, optional
- Rim glass with sprinkles, if desired. Fill a rocks glass with ice. Pour in Kahlúa, vodka, and heavy cream over ice and stir.

10 EASY SLOW COOKER MEALS RECIPE BOOK
Hello There!
Interestingly enough, I didn’t grow up with an interest in cooking. In fact, I informed my mother on multiple occasions that I was not getting an advanced education so I could spend my evenings preparing meals.
