Cherry Berry Smoothie

Cherry Berry Smoothie

I’ll admit it. I was a little nervous to make this Cherry Berry Smoothie with a fruit and vegetable juice blend.

This healthy breakfast cherry berry smoothie is packed full of nutrition, with Naked Power Garden berry veggie juice, black cherry Greek yogurt, fresh frozen cherries, and a bit of honey for sweetener. #recipes #smoothie #cherry

I don’t really care for vegetables.  I mean, I eat them, because it’s what you’re supposed to do, and I’m a mom…so I’m supposed to set a good example and all that.

But if you want the real truth, I’m not a huge vegetable fan, unless you count eating tomatoes in salsa or in pasta/pizza sauce.  I can do corn on the cob, and roasted broccoli and asparagus.  Other than that?  Not so much.  The idea of drinking vegetables through a straw sort of weirds me out.

So when I had the opportunity to review Naked’s new Power Garden Berry Veggie juice, I was a little hesitant.  While the juice contains a ton of fruit I love (cherries, strawberries, plums and apples), it also boasts red beets (along with purple carrots, sweet potatoes, chickpeas and sweet corn)…which I won’t eat normally under any circumstance.

But I tried it, because that’s what a mom setting a good example does.

And you know what?  I couldn’t taste the beets!  I couldn’t really taste any of the veggies, although the juice isn’t quite as sweet as what I typically drink.  But the color?  Amazing, yes?

The color in these pictures might even be a bit diluted, because I added in some black cherry Greek yogurt, honey, and ice cubes.  I did also blend in some frozen cherries, but basically, this vibrant color came straight out of the bottle.

And you know what?  It tasted amazing!  Doodle slurped down a huge glass of this, with no clue that it was actually healthy for him!

Total mom SCORE. 🙂

Oh Sally, you are too sweet. I think I lucked out on these photos because the smoothies themselves were so bright and vibrant – that made things a little easier! 🙂

I cant get over how vibrantly red this smoothie is! Not to mention it doesn’t look as if it contains any vegetables at all.
