      The coffee really gave it a rich flavor. Even if you’re not a coffee fan, you’ll enjoy it in this cake.

      I wish I would have gotten better pictures. I was so frustrated with the cake I just wanted to be done–and then we dug into it…wowsers, was it good. By the time I thought to snap a picture of the sliced cake, there wasn’t much left!

    I have run out of cacao before and used my sugar free hot chocolate mix as a substitute – you could tell the difference! Lovely frosting recipe 🙂

    I think my husband deliberately messes up when I ask him to get things at the grocery so that I don’t bother asking anymore. Your cake looks wonderful and hot chocolate buttercream sounds divine.
