Looks great. I am the cook in our home, but thank goodness my hubby eats about anything I put in front of him. This recipe should work. A few questions…do you marinade the chicken breats whole and then cut them up for skrewering/grilling and what is Siracha and is there a subsitute for it?? Thanks.
Hi Diane–I’ll have to do some tweaking to my post, since my mom pointed out to me this morning that not everyone knows what Sriracha sauce is. 🙂 It’s an Asian chili sauce, and you can usually find it in the Asian/International aisle in your grocery store (even Wal-Mart carries it!). It’s spicy, vinegary, garlicky, and a little sweet and the best thing EVER for adding some heat and a lot of flavor to an otherwise bland dish. I’m not sure of an appropriate substitute, since it’s quite a bit thicker than Tabasco–so readers, any ideas??
What a wonderful recipe! Just in time for summer grilling!
Thank you for sharing it on RecipeNewZ. It was very popular with our viewers, and as such, was featured on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/RecipeNewZ. Congrats!
Alison, I know I’m late to the party here (just found this recipe via Pinterest), but when a recipe calls for hot sauce, you can always substitute your favorite. Either Tabasco or Tapitio would work, but you might want to kick up the garlic just a tad.
The sriracha is very unique in flavor, and so it’s probably a major reason this simple recipe works so well. Loaded with garlic and fresh sun ripened chile taste, if you can find it, try it. Sometimes called “Rooster Sauce” because of the ubiquitous label on the plastic squirt bottle, it’s available everywhere these days.
I’ve added this recipe to my must try file. Thanks Ashley! Brian Meagher recently posted..Spicy BBQ Sauce Wing Throwdown

Made this tonight for father’s day dinner. It was so simple and delicious! The only suggestion I would make to others is to be sure that your cut your chicken in large chunks as chicken on kabobs tends to dry out.
Wow! I found your recipe on Pinterest today and grilled it tonight. My husband said we’re going to make this often…he loved it and so did I. It was one of the best marinades for the grill I’ve tried lately. The chicken was so moist and the marinade had just enough bite to make it interesting. Thanks for such a delicious recipe!
Wow…made these tonight for my family. Everyone loved them, especially my 3 year old son. I did omit the red pepper flakes because I had never cooked with sriracha before and I was scared it would be too hot for my kiddos (8 yr. old daughter, too). Definitely working its way into our normal rotation of recipes! YUMMO!!!!
Hi Kelly! This recipe uses 1 pound of chicken breasts, which for my husband and myself made two meals. So just adjust the marinade accordingly, depending on how many people you’re serving and how much they typically eat! =) If you don’t want to skewer that much chicken, this works great on whole breasts (or thighs), too. Have a great holiday!
I am in love with this recipe. I marinaded shrimp and chicken and both turned out sooo good!! I added more siracha and a ton of red pepper flakes. I love my food spicy! I paired it with grilled veggies and brown rice. Was thinking I could add it to a salad as well. =)
This was amazing! It’s my new go-to recipe for grilled chicken. I left out the red pepper (little kids), cilantro and sarachi sauce but next time I’ll try adding the sarachi. It was fantastic but would’ve been even better with some heat. Oh, and I marinated while chicken thighs instead of skewering them. Even my kids cleaned their plates! Thank you!
I made these for dinner tonight and they were excellent. Really easy to prep and cook and the flavor was awesome. I charred mine a little too much so next time I’ll keep a closer eye on them and probably only cook 5 min. or less on each side. Thanks for the delicious recipe!
I made this recipe tonight and it was amazing. I found it off of pinterest and honestly it’s the most amazing thing ever! But I used chicken thigh which probably made it more tasty!!!
Made the Honey Lime Chicken Skewers for supper tonight. Super easy and really yummy-a little spicy for my picky daughter, but I would definitely make them again!
First time on your page and so tonight I made these and they were wonderful!! I didn’t do skewers just cut each breast into 3 pieces and grilled them in a basket. Thanks!!

My boyfriend and I have made these on several occasions and everyone always devours them, they love them so much! (as do we!) They are by far, one of the better chicken skewer recipes that we have tried. Beautiful combination of sweet, tangy and just the right amount of heat.

Made these tonight and my husband and I both thought they were phenomenal! We left out the red pepper and used the extra juices to baste the kabobs while they were on the grill.. We will definitely be adding this to our ‘make again’ list! Thanks so much for the recipe!
Found these on Pinterest about 2 weeks ago. We’ve had them 3 times so far!! My boyfriend and I LOVE them. It’s so good. One of those times, we tried doing it on whole chicken breasts, instead of skewers. It didn’t come out as good. If you try it that way, I’d make a separate bowl of the marinade (one that hasn’t had raw chicken in it), warm it in a small sauce pan, add a little bit of flour to thicken it, and use it as a sauce/glaze/dip.
I am the Mom of Five and made three pounds of chicken (tripled the marinade). Each of my kids ate at least two skewers a piece! Excellent! It will always stay in my summer rotation. Thank you!
Love! My lemon was gross so I used the juice from an orange and served the chicken over cheesey parmesan quinoa. It was a huge hit. Thanks for the recipe. =)
These were the BEST! We’ve made them at least three times and are having them again tonight. I’m trying to make a list of freezer meals. I’ve made this FRESH and they are FINGER LICKIN’ GOOD! But do you think that the meat would freeze well in the marinade and then you could just assemble on skewers and grill after thawed?

The ONLY thing I will change next time will be to make extra marinade and set aside as a sauce to pour over the chicken before serving,. Really one of the best marinades I have tasted! 🙂 thanks again
Thank you so much for this recipe. My husband worked away from home for almost two years so I would make him freezer meals that he could easily supplement with. This recipe was BY FAR his favorite and now that he’s home I am making if fresh for him again tonight. Instead of putting the chicken on skewers, I cube it kinda small, and marinate using your ingredients. I then cook it on the stove top and serve with rice (with just a hint of cilantro and lime) and black beans. Such an easy yet flavorful dinner! Thank you again for this gem!
I’m thinking of making these for a Superbowl party, any idea on how much chicken this makes? I’m having about 20-25 people over and I’ll have other food, so it doesn’t need to be an entire meal but do you know any ballpark range?

Nice post. I was checking constantly this blog and I am impressed!
Very helpful info specifically the last part 🙂 I care for such
information a lot. I was looking for this certain info for a very long time.
Thank you and good luck.
Love the pictures – absolutely delicious looking! HA..my only problem with cooking with skewers is that ALWAYS forget to soak my skewers so, I have went to Stainless Steel Skewers. Can’t wait to try this delicious looking recipe! 🙂
I made these honey-lime chicken skewers tonight. They were amazing, and the marinade was super easy to throw together. I will definitely be making it again!!
Right away I am ready to do my breakfast, when having my breakfast coming
over again to read other news.

I made these on Sunday night. They were so good . Going to put this into the rotation. Yummy!
Can’t wait to try the recipe! How many people does this serve? Trying to make it for a bigger summer cook out!
Can you recommend a few side dishes to go with the Honey Lime Chicken Skewers other than rice? I love these!
Thanks!
Jeremiah
These were amazing ….I am making them again and doubling the recipe. The chicken is moist and flavorful without being overpowering.

Made these last night – they were FABULOUS! Thanks so much for adding a new healthy recipe to our family’s favorites! Served them with basmati rice and fresh grilled pineapple. YUM! PS – my husband saw the meal, and was ready to pull out the (high calorie) BBQ sauce, and said these were so good he didn’t need it! Hooray!
