I used a peppermint candy mix I found at my local cake supply store. I thought they gave the bark a little extra color-burst, rather than using the standard red and white candies.
Delicious! I love peppermint bark, and I love how you used rice krispies in it. And I know what you mean, my little one will be 7 in a few months…I can’t believe another year has gone by!
I was surprised to find that these were made with Rice Krispies. My daughter, who is gluten free, is coming home for Christmas from college and I know she would love these! Thanks for sharing them. Fun!
Bless your son; it’s so lovely to have a child who’s at the right age to get excited about Christmas! My nephew’ six and it’s great having him around and buying for him 🙂
These look great; I love the idea of adding the cereal for a bit of crunch.
that looks so good, I really should try making bark one of these days. And the kids that still believe in Santa really are great, so easy to distract.
This looks fabulous! And easy enough that even I can do that! What kind of peppermints did you use? They look sooooo red and soooo green.

I have been wanting to make candy bark. This looks amazing!! I can practically taste it through the screen!
I really loved the addition of the cereal in these for a little extra crunch. Also, I’m thinking cereal = breakfast?!?!? 🙂
This looks great! I’ve never made bark before but I want to this year for my Christmas baking!
I love holiday bark! It’s quick and easy, and always a hit at the holiday parties (or just when sneaking it for yourself, like I do!).
They look so festive and delicious! 🙂

Sounds like such a fun age. They really do grow up too fast. The bark is a perfect addition to Christmas cookies.
