The Bright Side of Life with Fruttare #sponsored

The Bright Side of Life with Fruttare #sponsored

Summer is finally here. It’s hot, sticky, and pretty much all we can do to stay cool where we are.  We’re spending lots of evenings at the pool, and when we’re not there…well, we’re eating these.

I think one of the most important things I’ve learned since becoming a parent is not to sweat the small stuff.  Not always easy in practice, but it’s something I’m working on.  I want Doodle to grow up as a “glass half full” kind of person, someone who looks on the bright side of things and feels blessed for the life he has.

He’s certainly made it easier for me to count my blessings than obsess over the things I can’t change.

So instead of stressing over the fact that the appliance company failed to hook up the drain hose when installing our dishwasher and caused water damage to our house, I’m trying to relax and focus on spending time with my cute kiddo.

And time with kids in the summer = eating lots of frozen treats on a stick. 🙂

Our new favorite?  These Fruttare Bars.

Available in more than 15 countries around the globe, Fruttare is recognized as a brand synonymous with a positive outlook on life.  Since “positive attitude” is the word of the month in karate, I decided one of these strawberry frozen fruit bars was the perfect reward for passing a stripe test and graduating to the next belt.

Doodle couldn’t wait to try out these strawberry bars.  He remembered them from a month or so ago when Target was handing out samples on a Sunday afternoon.  I have to admit, I’d been thinking about them, too.  They’re crazy good.

And while he’s not looking at the photo in this picture, it’s simply because he thought he was getting away with swiping one while I wasn’t looking. 😉

Fruttare Fruit and Milk Bars are made with creamy milk and real fruit, and are available in four varieties – Strawberry and Milk, Coconut and Milk, Banana and Milk and Peach and Milk.  Doodle and the Tall Boy snarfed down the Strawberry bars, which tasted like a creamy milkshake.  So yummy!

I also purchased a box of Coconut and Milk Bars, knowing that since the Tall Boy won’t eat coconut, I’d get them all to myself.  One of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. 😉  If you’re a coconut fan, you’ll love these bars – each bite contained flecks of coconut and was rich and creamy enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Fruttare Frozen Fruit Bars are the perfect frozen treat to accompany a hot summer day.  If you’re not a milk fan, Fruttare also offers Fruit and Juice Bars made with real fruit and refreshing juice, and are available in four varieties – Strawberry, Mango, Orange and Lime.   We love mango, so those are the next ones we’re going to try.

I’m sure I’ll have no trouble finding a taste-tester.

Hello There!

Interestingly enough, I didn’t grow up with an interest in cooking.  In fact, I informed my mother on multiple occasions that I was not getting an advanced education so I could spend my evenings preparing meals.
