What’s in Your Kitchen Wednesday

What’s in Your Kitchen Wednesday

Happy {almost} 4th of July!  What are your plans for the holiday?  We’re headed to a pool party and then plan to cook out and shoot fireworks.  And by fireworks, I mean sparklers, and parachutes and small fountains.

Historically, my husband and I have never been much for purchasing fireworks.  However, Doodle is wild for smoke bombs, and snakes, and snaps…so, yeah.  This year we have a pile of stuff. 😉

Also…exciting news!  Are you looking for tips on improving your photography?  I’m by no means an expert, but I’ve found that my pictures really started to improve after I read Lindsay’s Tasty Food Photography e-book.  I’m still learning, but it’s absolutely been a great resource, and I highly recommend it to anyone to improving their photography skills.  Scroll down to the end of the post to enter for your chance to win a free copy!

Or, if you just want to hop over and order a copy for yourself, Lindsay’s offering a 30% discount code through July 8: just use the code newversion30 at checkout.

But make sure you check out this week’s features first!  The most viewed post was this Fiesta Chicken from Snippets of Inspiration.  Look at all of that cheesy goodness!

I am completely wowed by these Patriotic Barn Star Cookies from Semisweet Handcrafted Sweet Treats.  Holy cow!

Thanks so much for the party! I have no plans for the 4th 🙁 We used to set off fireworks purchased illegally in Wisconsin, but they put houses in the corn field and we had to stop! I could use some help with my food photography skills 🙂 Have a fun 4th!

Thanks for offering this great giveaway! Our families plans for the 4th are to do all the fun FREE 4th of July activities that our small town has to offer. Starting with a pancake feed at the firehouse, moving on over to downtown to watch the parade, hot dog feed and games and activities at the local park, then perhaps home to rest and get our grilling on. Then head on out to watch a great free fireworks show.

Happy 4th to you and yours!

Ok…. so excited about your giveaway. Crossing my fingers and toes that I win. 🙂 Can’t believe tomorrow is the 4th of July, although mine will be a little different this year. I will be at a rehearsal and then a rehearsal dinner because my brother gets married the following day! 🙂 What are your plans?

Interestingly enough, I didn’t grow up with an interest in cooking.  In fact, I informed my mother on multiple occasions that I was not getting an advanced education so I could spend my evenings preparing meals.
