ASHLEY! We are totally on the same wavelength recently… I posted oatmeal cookies today too! Chocolate + coconut paired together in an oatmeal cookie looks and sounds delicious. And i love that they are made form cake mix! they look so incredibly soft.
And I agree, a random act of kindness can go a long way. 🙂 sally @ sally’s baking addiction recently posted..thick oatmeal raisinet cookies.
I’m so glad you signed up with me to do this–what a great cause! I felt so honored being able to be a part of *hopefully* cheering up their day! Also, I’m pretty sure if I got this package in the mail, I’d devour ALL of it because coconut oatmeal cookies sound AWESOME, as do cinnamon bread loaves, obviously! Yummmmmm.

What a great idea! I’m sure you brightened her day with a package that sweet! These look fantastic. I love chocolate and coconut.
Side note. How do you get your photos so bright? Do you just have excellent lighting in your house? I have a nice camera but terrible lighting. Makes it hard to get good photos 🙁 Back For Seconds recently posted..Sweet ‘N Salty Mix
Stephanie–hee, I have a VERY short window of time I have semi-decent light in my house for photo-taking. Most of the photos I’ve been shooting lately are taken in my dining room in front of a southwest facing patio door. I’m panicked about what I’ll do this fall and winter!
What great cookies for a great cause! I’m bummed I didn’t hear about it until the last minute. Such yummy cookies! Dorothy @ Crazy for Crust recently posted..Crazy Sweet Tuesday
Coconut and chocolate oatmeal cookies wrapped up so cute is a sure fire way to brighten her day!!! That is awesome that you signed up to do this. I signed up, but I got in late:-( Hopefully next year right? Hey, I’ve been meaning to tell you…I love that you are using bead board panelling as your back drop too;-) Looking good!!! How is shooting in manual going for you? Jocelyn @BruCrew Life recently posted..Trick or Treat Tuesday
This was a fun project; you’ll definitely have to do it next year. Yeah, the beadboard backdrop was something I could fashion on my own (with the help of some cutting from Lowe’s) and didn’t cost much. I love how crisp and clean it looks so I hope you don’t mind I’m using it, too. I’m trying to get my hubby to help me with some others so I’ll have some flexibility…but…I’m still waiting. =)
I signed up too and I’s so happy that I foundit early enough to be able to be matched with someone. I’m hoping to get mine out in the mail this week. I wasn’t really worried about shipping at first. I’ve shipped things to my mom in New Orleans several times. Then I realized it was always around Christmas. My package is going to TX. YIKE its HOT there now not to mention they will be traveling 5000 miles
Those cookies sound amazing. I’m a coconut freak & love box mix cookies.
